Offer Town Hall meetings and newsletters to keep parents, teachers, staff, and citizens fully informed

Attending a YCSD School Board meeting to speak about an issue of concern doesn’t include any dialogue with the School Board Members. Speakers are limited to three minutes with no feedback or response given. It’s time to be open about what decisions are being made, how money is being spent, and how students are doing within the York County School Division – in business, it’s what’s known as ROI: Return on Investment. This is important information to keep up our property values as many people choose to live in York County because of our schools.

Is YCSD maintaining the best ROI possible or are we resting on past laurels and need to step up our game? Lynda plans to distribute community newsletters to keep everyone informed and have regular face-to-face Town Hall meetings for true dialogue. You’re paying for these decisions with your hard-earned tax dollars and deserve to know how it’s being spent, whether you have children in school or not! The main focus here is the School Board Members work for YOU – their district’s constituents as their representative, and the Superintendent works for the School Board. Taxpayers, parents, and school staff deserve to know what is happening, how money is being spent, and whether we’re getting the best value out of those hard-earned dollars. It’s time to have a York County School Board member who will have the integrity to be transparent on these important matters.

It’s time to elect Lynda Fairman to the York County School Board for District 5.
