Upon discovering that Bethel Manor Elementary School’s gym is too small for students to comfortably use during classes, I took the initiative to arrange a Fact-Finding Tour with Congressman Rob Wittman on 7 August 2024. The purpose of the visit was to request Department of Defense (DoD) funding to build a larger gym for the school.
Accompanying us on the tour were BMES Principal Ms. Chrissy Wagner, Superintendent Vic Shandor, Finance Director Bill Bowen, and School Board Members Zoran Pajevic, Kim Goodwin, and Jimmy Richardson. It was an important opportunity to highlight the gym’s limitations and discuss potential solutions.
It was a productive visit, and I look forward to collaborating with Congressman Wittman and these dedicated leaders to secure the necessary funding and make this much-needed improvement a reality for the students of Bethel Manor Elementary.
